📍Location: Remote – must be based within the UK. Occasional visits to see the team in Exeter will be required.

Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll have strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving business success through robust financial management.
What will you do?
As a Management Accountant, you’ll report directly to the Finance Manager and work closely with the leadership team. You’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, from planning and budgeting to reporting and compliance. Your strategic insights and attention to detail will ensure we continue to make sound financial decisions that align with our growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting.
- Analyse financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting
- Maintain and improve financial models and reporting tools.
- Support project accounting and profitability tracing across consultancy projects
- Collaborate with department heads to monitor expenditure and identify potential opportunities to improve efficiencies and increase ROI
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
- Liaise with external accountants regarding all elements of compliance and statutory reporting.
- Contribute to finance system improvements and automation initiatives.
- Assist in payroll processes, expense submissions and supplier payments to maintain smooth financial operations.
Skills / Approaches:
- Formal accounting qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
- Solid Business acumen and commercial mindset
- Excellent communication skills and able to communicate effectively across all stakeholders across the business.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with using a cloud based accounting software (Preferably Xero).
